Florida’s #1 COVID-19

Testing Solution

COVID-19 PCR TESTING

Our COVID-19 RT-PCR Test is a diagnostic test that can show if you have an active COVID-19 infection and whether or not you should take steps to quarantine or isolate yourself from others. The RT-PCR test is currently the gold standard for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) testing because of its high sensitivity and because it detects the virus’s genetic material.

If you’re traveling internationally, you likely need a PCR test to ensure you’re free of infection. Unlike most PCR results that may take days, our Rapid PCR test is quick, convenient, and can provide highly accurate results in under 45 minutes.

COVID-19 RAPID ANTIGEN TESTING

Rapid Antigen testing is the fastest way to detect an active COVID-19 infection, especially at its onset. Because results are available in less than 20 minutes, you know as quickly as possible if you can travel or attend a planned event.

Rapid Antigen testing is offered in addition to our COVID-19 PCR testing in order to offer an additional blanket of detection, protection, and safety. This add-on test is for added peace of mind when testing for Coronavirus in the earliest stages of detection.

Rapid Antigen testing is how you will ensure that you, your employees, your customers, and everyone’s family members that they return home to – are safe at the end of the day. This add-on test is for that extra peace of mind when testing for Coronavirus in the earliest stages of detection and is offered only in addition to our PCR test, ensuring that you are doing everything you can to keep everyone as safe as possible.

We administer these tests via:

  • Concierge testing
  • On-site and on-location testing for businesses and organizations

A: Results are sent to you via text message (SMS) and email using the information you provided to us when you registered. You can also access them directly on your computer by visiting results.labdxs.com. Hard copies (paper), doctor’s notes, or certificates of authenticity are not provided.

Q: What if my airline wants a certificate of authenticity of my results?

A: We do not provide a certificate. Instead, your test results will have a QR code on the bottom of the page, which can be scanned to access our patient portal. When the code is scanned, you will be able to log in to our patient portal to obtain your results, thus validating its authenticity.

Q: How fast will i get my PCR results?

A: PCR tests are generally reported on the same day of collection but could sometimes take longer. Ask your collection staff for details when you get tested for an updated turnaround time. The cost is $290 and only credit cards are accepted (no cash or checks).

Q: How fast do i get my rapid antigen results?

A: Preliminary Rapid Antigen tests are generally reported within 20 minutes of collection. Final results are reported by the end of the day.

Q: Are the tests FDA-approved?

A: Tests conducted by LABDX have been authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) issued in 2020.

Q: Why did our test results come out so fast?

A: Having served many clients that operate the critical infrastructure of our area, we specialize in fast PCR results. Most results are reported within only a few hours of collection and never past midnight the same day.

Q: How accurate are my results?

A: We utilize the gold standard of COVID testing, with an accuracy rate above 99%.

Q: Is my test an RT-PCR?

A: We offer conventional PCR, Rapid PCR, and Antigen tests, and each test has its own application. If you are traveling internationally, please refer to your destination country’s travel requirements to determine the option that is best for you.

Q: Are antigen and RT-PCR tests the same?

A: No, an antigen test is most effective at the onset of infection (first 48 hours from exposure) as it detects the antigens that are replicating in the body during the viral incubation period. RT-PCR on the other hand is highly sensitive and detects the presence of the virus itself up to 7 weeks from infection.

Q: What Is RT-PCR Or Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction?

A: Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, or RT-PCR, is a laboratory technique combining reverse transcription of RNA into DNA and amplification of specific DNA targets using polymerase chain reaction. It is primarily used to measure the amount of a particular RNA.

Q: Can I get antibody tests to determine if i have COVID?

A: No. Antibodies are present in your body after the infectious period (about 14 days) as an immune response to having contracted COVID-19. It is an excellent way to detect if you’ve had COVID in the past, not currently. RT-PCR is the best way to identify whether you are currently positive and potentially infectious to others.

LABDX does not offer antibody tests.

Q: What tests do I need for travel outside of the U.S.?

A: RT-PCR is widely accepted in most destinations around the world; however, every destination country has its own testing requirements. Moreover, you may not need an RT-PCR to travel.
